Job Summary
Greet customers warmly, assist with inquiries and purchases, and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately. Demonstrate in-depth product knowledge to help customers make informed decisions, handle various payment methods with precision, and resolve concerns in a professional manner. Maintain a clean counter area, restock merchandise, manage inventory, and assist with warehouse shipping and receiving when volume is high. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations while adhering to company policies. This role requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working in a fast-paced environment. Regular attendance and punctuality are vital. Forklift certification is preferred, and HVAC knowledge is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail or customer service experience
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
- Strong math skills for accurate transaction processing
- Proficiency in operating Point of Sale (POS) systems
- In-depth product knowledge or the ability to quickly learn about our product line
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly and supportive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Basic computer skills and attention to detail
- Team player with a collaborative mindset
- Regular Attendance & Punctuality
- Willingness to become forklift certified
