Job Summary
Assist customers in person and by phone with purchases, orders, and product questions regarding welding equipment, industrial supplies, and compressed gases. Recommend appropriate products based on customer needs, process orders, and handle cash and credit card transactions. Receive incoming merchandise, pick and pack outgoing shipments, and stock the counter, showroom, and warehouse while maintaining accurate inventory labels. Load and unload cylinders and trucks, ensuring all areas remain clean, organized, and safe. Perform other duties as assigned while balancing customer service with physical warehouse responsibilities.
Required Qualifications

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn technical products and computer-based order-entry systems
- Attention to detail when processing orders, handling transactions, and maintaining inventory

- Ability to work cooperatively as part of a small, team-oriented branch
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Frequently lift 50–75 pounds
- Safely maneuver cylinders weighing more than 100 pounds by rolling them or using appropriate equipment
- Stand, walk, bend, reach, push, and pull for extended periods
- Perform customer-facing and physical material-handling duties throughout the workday
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment
