Counter Sales Associate 1

Job Summary
Conduct outbound calls, face-to-face interactions, and email communications to sell products and services while maintaining positive dealer relationships. Execute the full sales cycle including order processing, quote generation, and payment handling to ensure accurate item ordering and timely delivery. Educate customers on HVAC product features, benefits, and terminology to drive new and repeat sales while assisting with warranties and returns. Collaborate with the Branch Manager to resolve customer problems and coordinate shipments with manufacturing and distribution vendors. Maintain records of sales activities and monitor shipment dates to guarantee expedited delivery when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- 1 – 3 years of progressive sales experience
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations
- Must be able to explain fairly technical parts of information clearly
- Must be able to effectively & timely communicate via e-mail with customers & accurately input orders
- Ability to deal with high-volume customer traffic
- Ability to establish positive working relationships with internal and external customers and employees
- Ability to understand and follow procedures, work instructions, and company policies
- Ability to use good judgment and strong work ethics and integrity on the job
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of HVAC equipment/products is preferred
- some colleges preferred
- General Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word) as well as working knowledge of data base applications
- Effective and high-quality Customer Service/Relationship management skills via walk-ins, phone, and email
- Positive, professional attitude, handling difficult customers with ability to diffuse negative situations
- Good phone etiquette and e-mail etiquette
- Effective organizational skills and time management skills including ability to prioritize and multi-task
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
