Job Summary
Counter Fraud Lead/Manager responsible for day-to-day management of fraud, bribery and corruption risk at East West Railway. Develop, implement and continuously improve the organisation’s counter fraud strategy and policies, aligning with Government Functional Standards and cross-government priorities. Translate strategic objectives into practical action plans, advise senior leaders on fraud risk and control effectiveness, and support staff capability building. Manage fraud risk assessments, embed controls into business processes, provide guidance to cross-functional teams (e.g., Commercial, Finance, Risk), deliver fraud awareness training, foster a positive counter fraud culture, and oversee governance and reporting to the Board and Audit Committee. Lead the FRA framework, ensure compliant reporting, maintain confidential case records, and collaborate with delivery partners, auditors, insurers and law enforcement as required. Strong written/verbal communication, analytical ability, and independence to influence stakeholders; experience in central government or ALBs is desirable. “},
Required Qualifications
- Experience working on counter fraud
- Development and implementation of counter fraud strategies/frameworks
- Strong understanding of fraud risk assessment frameworks
- Ability to engage stakeholders across internal and external boundaries
- Counter fraud qualification such as Accredited Counter Fraud Specialist (ACFS) or CIPFA or equivalent
