Job Summary
Design and manage a specialist counter-fraud and investigations function, leading complex inquiries into fraud, bribery, corruption, and conflicts of interest across procurement, supply chain, and financial transactions. Establish investigation frameworks, governance protocols, and data-led detection strategies to identify anomalies in supplier patterns and payments. Produce high-quality reports with robust findings and recommendations while partnering with Legal, HR, Internal Audit, and senior stakeholders to strengthen controls and implement integrity improvements. Lead the development of forensic and data analyst capabilities to proactively prevent and respond to ethical risks within Anglian Water's growing capital programme and complex supply chain.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience leading fraud, financial, procurement or supply chain-related investigations
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, financial controls and third-party risk
- Experience working alongside HR, Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit or Finance within a structured governance model
- Professional accreditation such as CCAB, CFE, ACFS, PIP, APCIP or equivalent
- Strong investigative and analytical capability, particularly across financial and supplier data
- Ability to identify patterns, anomalies and fraud indicators using evidence-led approaches
- Excellent report writing skills with strong attention to detail and clear recommendations
- Sound judgement and discretion when handling complex, confidential and sensitive matters
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, especially across commercial, procurement and senior leadership teams
- Ability to work autonomously, challenge appropriately and escalate concerns with confidence
- Permanent Full Time / 37 hours per week
- Huntingdon or Peterborough (Hybrid)
