Job Summary
Greet customers promptly and professionally, then identify automotive parts based on vehicle specifications while advising on appropriate use and care. Process transactions including cash, credit, and returns, accurately managing the cash drawer and POS systems. Assist with freight receipt, shelf stocking, merchandising, and cleaning, and operate store equipment such as brake lathes and diagnostic tools. Occasionally deliver parts and perform services like installing wipers or scanning codes as permitted. Support inventory cycle counts and monthly stock adjustments while maintaining product knowledge and addressing customer concerns. Complete required training modules and uphold safety protocols. Valid driver's license required for occasional delivery duties.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 years' experience in automotive parts, customer service, or retail environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods
- Valid driver's license (for occasional delivery duties, if required)
- 40-hour work week can vary from Monday to Sunday
- May require weekend or evening shifts, depending on store hours
Desired Qualifications
- Automotive or technical training
- ASE Certification or familiarity with cataloging systems (e.g., Weatherly Index)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient computer skills with POS and inventory management systems
