Job Summary
Counter Associate/Representative responsible for in-store customer service, counter sales, paint mixing, and order preparation. Responsibilities include assisting walk-in customers focused on automotive coatings, entering telephone orders, maintaining inventory and pricing records, supporting outside sales, and ensuring color-room and equipment maintenance. The role emphasizes professional customer interactions, accuracy in order processing, and adherence to regulations and company policies. The position requires ability to perform multiple store-floor duties, including handling paint orders, proper waste disposal, and cross-training for related roles.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform customer service activities within a store environment
- Sell products to walk-in customers
- Proactively call end-user customers
- Mix paint and prepare orders
- Reconcile inventory and stock merchandise
- Provide sales support to outside sales team
- Maintain customer records and pricing
- Prepare paint orders using standard and custom formulas
- Maintain cleanliness of areas and equipment
- Professional conduct to meet quality and service expectations
- Maintain color room records and inventory transfers
- Able to assist with other role functions as needed
- Answer phone inquiries professionally and process orders
- Dispose of waste materials in compliance with regulations
