Job Summary
The Counselor is responsible for providing inmate education in the assigned curriculum approved by the Department of Correction and maintaining written documentation in case records. Participates in a multi-disciplinary team meeting weekly or as directed. Requires working hours to meet organizational needs, including potential evenings and weekends beyond 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- BA/MA or 2 years equivalent experience in criminal justice, human services, education or closely related field required
- DOC experience and/or Alcohol/ Drug certification preferred
