Job Summary
Provide routine clerical support for the school counseling office and professional staff, including word processing, data entry, filing, and file maintenance. Maintain confidential student records and assist with registration of new students using the Texas records exchange (T-Rex) and data entry for grades; deliver schedules and updates to students; maintain and retrieve transcripts and permanent records; manage accounts and budgets for the counseling office; assist with coordination of LPAC, 504, and AEP meetings, as well as campus improvement meetings, conferences, and events; handle reception duties and phone messages; assist counselors with enrollment, withdrawals, and transfers; ensure confidentiality of testing materials and maintain college information resources for students, parents, and teachers; prepare certificates, programs, and materials for awards and ceremonies; and perform other clerical duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 years clerical experience
- Proficient keyboarding and file maintenance skills
- Experience with data entry, filing, word processing
- Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets and databases
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
