Job Summary
Develop treatment plans in concert with supervisors that address physical, medical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs. Provide individual and group counseling, conduct assessments, coordinate services, and deliver psychoeducation to a caseload of substance use disorder patients. Collect referral information, make referrals to appropriate agencies, assist with admission scheduling, and monitor patient access to treatment. Offer clinical consultation to referral resources, mentors, and family members while maintaining up-to-date documentation. Utilize a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach to support recovery and engage patients in decision-making processes.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- OASAS CASAC-T or CASAC Certification
- Minimum One-Two (1-2) years of related experience working with clients with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) preferably within an Opioid Treatment Program
- Knowledge and/or training in Trauma Informed Care and various organizational treatment
- Knowledge of and experience working with persons with co-occurring disorders
- Knowledge of the laws regarding personnel and client information
