Counselor - Residential Addiction Treatment

Job Summary
Provide addiction/substance abuse/dual disorder assessment, education, counseling and therapy for patients in individual and/or group settings within a Women’s Residential Primary Care Program. Manage a caseload up to eight clients, document according to accreditation standards, and participate in team and departmental meetings. Deliver services across the 12 core SA counseling functions with emphasis on assessment, individual therapy, group therapy, didactic presentations, and relapse prevention. Work cooperatively with the treatment team across Primary Treatment, Extended Care, Family Program, Alumni and Out Services, and any new programs. Flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends. Requires Master’s degree in a related field and NC SA certification/licensure (or equivalent experience) with supervision provided for LCAS-A’s; at least three years of SUD counseling experience. Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services or related field and NC SA certification or licensed, or Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree plus 3 years SUD counseling with diverse populations, and Must be NC SA
- Must have at least three years’ experience in addiction or substance abuse counseling
- Must have satisfactory criminal background check and clean urine drug screen
