Counselor - Play Therapy Specialist

Job Summary
Collaborate with clients and families to identify goals, improve coping skills, and deliver evidence-based play therapy interventions tailored to developmental needs. Complete comprehensive diagnoses, assessments, and required psychotherapy treatment plans while documenting progress notes by Sunday night. Review client plans quarterly and perform annual renewals, ensuring compliance with insurance carrier requirements. Report abuse as needed and communicate pertinent treatment information to the multidisciplinary team and supervisor. Maintain all required documentation for employee files including licensure and background checks. Work from assigned Individualized Treatment Plans to promote behavior change and strengthen self-esteem.
Required Qualifications
- Must be one of the following: licensed psychologist, licensed psychologist extender, licensed MSW, licensed LCSW, licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, licensed Professional Counselor, licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
- Be able to pass an enhanced background check
- Location: Idaho Falls office or client home (as assigned or agreed upon at time of hire)
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred candidate is a Registered Play Therapist (RPT), RPT-Supervisor (RPT-S), or actively working toward certification under an approved supervisor
