Job Summary
The Counselor will provide assessment and treatment services, maintaining an active caseload and clinical charts in accordance with standards set by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and other relevant authorities. Responsibilities include using assessment instruments to determine levels of care, creating comprehensive recovery plans, documenting treatment services, and performing Urine Drug Screens. The position requires ongoing training, adherence to legal and clinical standards, and demonstrating empathy and concern for clients.
Required Qualifications
- Must receive annually twenty five (25) hours of training in areas supportive of skill development required by NET and The Pennsylvania Department of Health, Bureau of Drug and Alcohol Programs
- Must receive ten (10) hours of training on HIV, STDs and TB
- Must meet all necessary requirements to maintain licensure and certification if licensed/certified
- Adhere to applicable city, county, state, and federal laws and regulations and CARF standards
Desired Qualifications
- PCB certification as a CCDP (strongly recommended)
