Job Summary
Conduct group and/or family sessions, co-facilitate assigned groups, and assist with modifying problem behaviors under supervision. Perform initial and follow-up assessments, prepare individual treatment plans, and ensure timely documentation of patient care and incidents. Provide crisis intervention, act as a liaison between referral sources and insurance carriers, and manage case duties to evaluate referral needs. Maintain a positive, empathetic attitude while prioritizing patient safety and resolving complaints when necessary. This full-time day position includes an 8-hour shift with competitive hourly pay, shift differentials, and access to extensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in counseling field instruction/internship or similar practicum through education or certification process
- Licensure or certification for counseling, as required by the state in which the facility operates
- State license or certification eligible within the timeframe designated by the facility
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification
- First aid
- Completion of ongoing education and training, as required by the state in which the facility operates and applicable accrediting body
