Entry-level direct care counselor providing 24/7 coverage in community residences. Responsibilities include ensuring safety and security of residents, performing inspections, completing incident reports, instructing residents in daily living and socialization skills, explaining available services, executing emergency plans, accompanying residents to medical appointments and activities, supervising medication administration with clinical staff, assisting with meal preparation and light housekeeping, and supporting families. Requires ability to work various shifts, attend trainings, and maintain a safe, healing environment; minimum qualification includes a high school diploma or GED and one year of related human services experience. NYS driver’s license may be required for some assignments.
