Job Summary
Maintain clinical records in compliance with regulatory bodies and SJRH/BHS policies while providing assessment, case management, intervention, and treatment planning for patients and families. Deliver individual and group therapy services, manage discharge planning, and collaborate with internal staff and external community resources to build client relationships. Ensure payment for treatment services by insurance and managed care companies, including Medicaid and Medicare, while preparing reports, maintaining statistical data, and attending assigned meetings. This role requires DOC clearance for all jail-based positions within the Westchester County Department of Correction.
Required Qualifications
- DOC clearance for all jail-based positions
- Maintain security and other clearances that the governmental correctional facility and the law may require
- Minimum of one year of providing substance use disorder treatment service or two years' experience as social worker or two years' experience as a mental health counselor
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a health-care setting
- Social workers are required to have a Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited school
- LMSW/LCSW or LMHC required
- Mental Health Counselors are required to have a Master's or Doctoral degree in mental health counseling from an accredited school
- Demonstrates ability to recognize problems, approach them in an objective manner, reach appropriate solutions, implement them and evaluate for effectiveness
Desired Qualifications
- CASAC and/or other QHP preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred
