Job Summary
Assess clients for substance abuse and mental health evaluations, making treatment recommendations and maintaining case records. Lead group counseling sessions, provide individual and family counseling, and coordinate services as part of a treatment team. Supervise other staff, consult on treatment modalities, and represent the agency in involuntary treatment petitions. Requires a Master's degree in Human Services, CAP certification, and extensive knowledge of addiction and mental health models. Full-time role with Tri-County Human Services, supporting recovery through evidence-based therapeutic techniques and community resource referrals.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in field related to Human Services, which include but not limited to: Social Work; Clinical Psychology; Counseling; Rehabilitative Counseling; Counseling Education; Education; Criminal Justice; or Ministry from an accredited college or university
- at least one (1) year full-time experience in a mental health and/or addictions treatment setting
- Certification as an Addictions Professional (CAP) by the Certification Board for Addiction Professionals of Florida
