Job Summary
Conduct screenings, assessments, and crisis interventions for clients seeking behavioral health services, including intake, evaluation, goal setting, discharge planning, and referrals. Perform essential counseling and therapy tasks such as psychoeducation while navigating individual, family, and group dynamics. Coordinate client care through internal and external community resources and assist in training staff and student interns. Work within a team of Counselors, Peers, Nurses, Case Managers, and treatment professionals to deliver comprehensive care. This role includes initial assessments for children and adults in the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic. Proficiency in EHR systems like Avatar and Netsmart is required.
Required Qualifications
- Certification required: CASAC, CASAC II OR CASAC ADVANCED
- Valid New York State Driver License and reliable transportation
- Bachelor's degree required
- Two years in the Human Services field working with co-occurring MH/SUD disorders, high-risk populations, or individuals with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree preferred
