Counselor I

Provide direct supervision and support to students at all times while implementing individualized education and behavior plans under the guidance of the classroom team. Assist with daily activities including personal care such as feeding, toileting, hygiene, and use of feeding tubes if required. Document student behaviors, incidents, and progress as needed and use approved behavior management techniques to support students in crisis. Serve as a positive role model by modeling appropriate behavior, communication, and problem-solving skills, and transport students to community activities as necessary. Collaborate in a team-based environment to support a positive learning space and notify teachers when materials or adjustments are required. Work Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 3:30pm at the Villa Education Center.
