Job Summary
Copa Health is seeking a Counselor I to join the West Valley Clinic in Peoria, AZ to provide integrated behavioral health support. Responsibilities include assessment, development of treatment plans, individual and group therapy, coordination of care with multidisciplinary team, maintaining timely clinical documentation, and accurate confidential records. The role requires a Master’s degree in a related field, licensure at the associate level with pursuit of independent licensure in Arizona (LAC/LPC/LMSW/LCSW), and experience in community behavioral health. Candidates should be proficient with MS Office and EMR/EHR systems, demonstrate cultural sensitivity, and be able to obtain necessary background clearances. Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field plus 1-2 years of behavioral health experience
- Must be licensed at the associate level and working towards independent licensure by the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (LAC, LPC, LMSW, or LCSW)
- Experience providing counseling and therapy in a community behavioral health setting with high-acuity members is highly preferred
- Proficient with MS Office and ability to learn EMR/EHR applications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and any other required background checks
