Job Summary
Residential camp counselor position for blind/visually impaired campers. Responsibilities include supervising campers, developing and leading programs, promoting independence, ensuring health and safety, and supporting activities across waterfront, nature exploration, arts and crafts, and all-camp events. Must be able to work with campers with secondary disabilities and be willing to live on camp premises. Requirements include being 18+, high school graduate, CPR/First Aid certifications, and ASL fluency. Seasonal, in-person 100% at Napa, CA, with a daily rate-based compensation for the summer season. The role emphasizes camper supervision, program leadership, safety, and positive role modeling as part of LightHouse’s mission to support blind or visually impaired individuals.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School graduate
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications
- Previous work in a camp, school, or community service setting
- Fluent in ASL
