Job Summary
Plan, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive developmental guidance and counseling program for students in grades PK-2. Counsel students to develop academic, career, personal, and social abilities. Utilize knowledge of counseling procedures and student appraisal while maintaining excellent organizational and communication skills. Conduct structured group lessons and provide individual and group counseling, including preventive, remedial, and crisis support. Collaborate with teachers and consult with parents and community resources to support student development and diversity. Supervise assigned counseling aides and maintain necessary documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas school counselor certificate
- Two years teaching experience
