Counselor - Financial

Financial Counselor evaluates and processes Financial Assistance Applications for medical services, determines patient ability to pay, negotiates payment arrangements and administers state programs. Communicates financial responsibilities and available resources to patients, supports scheduling and registration as needed, inputs data into the A/R system, and demonstrates knowledge of insurance payer profiles and fee schedules while upholding the Financial Assistance Policy. Requires effective analytical multitasking, organization, and strong patient communication; must work within a healthcare team and adapt to change.
