Job Summary
Conduct regular alcohol and drug abuse counseling sessions, group sessions, and intake/readmission services while orienting patients to treatment operations. Develop and revise patient treatment plans, collect comprehensive social and vocational information, and make appropriate referrals with necessary follow-ups. Provide crisis intervention, coordinate care with community providers, and perform OBOT services. Ensure adherence to schedules, program policies, and all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. Participate in in-service training, conferences, and public relations activities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in human services or related field
- CSC-AD, CAC-AD, LGPC, LGSW, LICSW, LMHC, LCADC, CADC or ADT in the state of Maryland
- At least a bachelor's degree in the related Human Services field
- Licensed or certified CSC-AD, CAC-AD, LGPC, LGSW, LICSW, LMHC, LCADC, CADC or ADT in the state of Maryland
- Monday - Friday 4:45am - 1:00pm / Rotating Saturday Shift
- Ability to make decisions and use proper judgment with confidential and sensitive issues
- Ability to deal appropriately with patient and team members in stressful or other undesirable situations and to seek direction from supervisors when necessary
- Must be able to react quickly and make effective decisions
- Sufficient knowledge and understanding of human behavior to show potential for rehabilitating drug dependent patients
- Knowledge of the substance abuse population, treatment planning and the field of human social services to work toward the rehabilitation of the patient community
- Compliance with federal and state regulations regarding certification, licensure, and degree
