Job Summary
Masters-level, independently licensed clinician to provide clinical assessment and psychotherapy for adolescents and young adults in the Early Psychosis Intervention Center (EPICenter) at the Whole Health Clinic in Tucson. Deliver evidence-based care in an outpatient setting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to address emotional/behavioral issues, substance use, and other mental health disorders. Responsibilities include direct psychotherapy with individuals, families, and groups; development of written treatment plans with patient/family involvement; coordination of care across inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings; documentation of assessments, diagnoses, and progress; potential indirect supervision of associate therapists; and adherence to licensure/certification requirements. Preference for experience with CBT-I and/or First Episode Psychosis, with training available if needed. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8a–7p (40 hours/week) with no weekends or on-call required. Requires a Master’s degree, Arizona licensure (LCSW/LPC), and eligibility to bill independently; fingerprint background checks and related clearances as applicable. Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in counseling, behavioral health, or a related human services field
- Independent licensure in Arizona (LCSW or LPC)
- License in Clinical Social Work (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) as mandated by state board
- 2 years of experience in behavioral health setting
- Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and Criminal History Affidavit
- Ability to provide clinical assessment and psychotherapy in outpatient settings
- Proficiency in developing treatment plans and documenting progress
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Arizona
- Independent licensure to bill CPT codes for outpatient psychotherapy
- Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (required for certain behavioral health roles)
- 2+ years of behavioral health experience
- Experience with CBT-I (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia) and/or First Episode Psychosis or willingness to train in this population
- Masters degree in counseling, behavioral health, or related field
- Arizona state licensure as required by the board (LCSW or LPC)
- Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team
- Masters-prepared clinicians who can provide clinical assessment and psychotherapy in outpatient settings
- Experience with DSM-based assessment and treatment planning
- Proficiency in coordinating care with managed care providers or external agencies
- No weekend or on-call requirements specified for this position
