Job Summary
Counselor AOD I MC, Registered AOD Counselor, provides alcohol and drug treatment services within VOALA's residential program, including screening, intake, individual/group/family counseling, crisis intervention, discharge planning, documentation in EHR, and collaboration with Case Management and therapy teams. Responsibilities emphasize trauma-informed treatment delivery, client advocacy, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, maintaining HIPAA-compliant records, and ensuring program requirements and evaluative reporting are met; requires completion of formal coursework for certification and supervised hours toward Certification, with on-site work obligations.
Required Qualifications
- Alcohol and Drug Counseling Registration by CCAPP, CADTP or CADEE
- Minimum of one year�s experience in the provision of SUD treatment services
- Must be able to pass fingerprint clearance and background checks
- On-site work requirement
