Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive financial aid counseling for Vaughn students while managing a caseload of 300–350 students per academic year. Review, certify, and process Alternative Loans through ELM, PowerFAIDS, and Sonis, ensuring reconciliation with Finance and Student Accounts. Provide guidance on registration, curriculum changes, and withdrawal procedures while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Title IV regulations and FERPA standards. Deliver high-quality customer service to students, families, and faculty, promoting responsible borrowing practices within the Financial Aid office.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree
- Minimum of two years of financial aid experience
- Strong working knowledge of Title IV regulations
- Effective communication and public-speaking skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to analyze problems, gather and interpret data, and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain positive working relationships
