Job Summary
Counselor provides individual and group therapy for substance abuse and co-occurring disorders under supervision, leads case management, develops and implements treatment plans, maintains documentation, collaborates with clinical staff, counsels clients and families, refers to supportive services, and may perform agency driver responsibilities; requires ASAM knowledge, professional communication, and adherence to regulatory standards. Hours are Mon-Fri 7:30am-3:30pm; location in Bridgeport, CT; includes administrative support duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC)
- Bachelor's degree in the behavioral sciences and two (2) years experience in counseling preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Connecticut driver's license may be required
