Job Summary
Counsellor role at HMP Haverigg (Cumbria, UK) Part-time (18.75 hours/week) delivering brief 1:1 and group counselling for depression within an integrated prison mental health team. Responsibilities include clinical assessment and intervention (Step 2 IAPT), delivering Step 2 counselling, using PHQ-9 and GAD-7, collaboration within MDT and statutory/non-statutory agencies, maintaining high-quality clinical records, and contributing to monthly performance reporting. Requires Diploma in therapeutic counselling (or equivalent) with BACP accreditation; post-qualification IAPT/stepped-care experience; strong communication, IT skills, and commitment to reflective practice. Required Qualifications
