Coordinate and promote initiatives for socio-emotional learning, mental health literacy, and student well-being across the school. Support the implementation of programs for developing emotional skills and preventing risky behaviors in the classroom. Collaborate with school teams to identify socio-emotional needs and develop learning plans for designated students. Provide individual or small-group counseling to offer socio-emotional support, intervene directly with students facing behavioral or mental health challenges, and assist in managing student crises. Communicate with central specialists, external professionals, and parents to ensure student follow-up, while completing necessary forms for student designation or diagnosis. This temporary role at the French School Board of British Columbia begins September 1, 2026, and concludes June 30, 2027.
