Job Summary
The Counseling Student Intern will engage in shadowing therapy sessions, co-therapy, and provide clients with individual, couples, and family counseling. The program offers clinical supervision weekly and emphasizes learning evidence-based approaches for treating various mental health issues. Interns must exhibit strong ethical boundaries, communication skills, and a commitment to professional growth, while committing to at least one evening or Friday weekly for client appointments.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing a CFT master's degree at KPCOM.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to learning evidence-based approaches to treating various mental health issues.
- Maintain strong ethical and professional boundaries.
- Commit to at least one evening or Friday weekly for client appointments to attain program direct hours.
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred interest in systemic theory for use as a foundational understanding of human beings and their relationships to self and others.
- Must be teachable and have a desire for professional growth.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to ask questions.
Additional Requirements
- Must be a master's level student.
- Only for students completing their external practicum requirements.
