Job Summary
Counsel to TD's Digital Banking and Innovation Legal Team, partnering with business, technology, risk, and compliance to enable responsible innovation across the product lifecycle. Advise on artificial intelligence, digital assets, digital banking platforms, open banking, electronic payment systems, and third-party/fintech partnerships; analyze and apply evolving laws and regulations to banking products and services; identify legal issues and options; lead negotiations and support client relationships. Requires JD, bar admission, and 5+ years of related experience; responsibilities include providing consistent legal guidance, understanding business operations and regulatory environment, and collaborating with stakeholders to align with TD's risk appetite. Domestic travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- JD from accredited law school required
- 5+ Years of related experience
- Admission to appropriate State Bar in good standing and licensed to practice law in the State
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Strong legal research and analysis skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to simplify, problem solve, multitask and work effectively against deadlines
