Job Summary

Provide practical legal counsel and strategic guidance to leadership and business partners on operational and strategic matters. Conduct legal research, analyze complex issues, and develop practical solutions to mitigate legal risk. Draft, review, revise, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts and other legal documents while supporting the contract lifecycle. Review organizational policies to ensure legal and regulatory compliance. Assist with litigation matters and coordinate with outside counsel as needed. Partner with internal stakeholders on cross-functional initiatives and interact with state and federal agencies when appropriate. Collaborate with fellow attorneys to support departmental priorities and organizational objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas, or the ability to obtain a Texas law license within 12 months of hire
  • Two (2) or more years of legal experience

Desired Qualifications

  • focus on contract drafting, review, and negotiation preferred
  • Experience supporting healthcare organizations or other highly regulated industries is a plus preferred
