Job Summary
Advise clients on global privacy laws, including U.S. frameworks, GDPR, and other international standards. Guide clients through compliance strategies for data protection, breach response, and data retention. Draft and negotiate privacy-forward agreements such as MSAs and data protection addenda. Develop internal and external privacy tools, training materials, and accountability structures. Serve as a trusted advisor to both legal and business stakeholders across industries. This fully remote position offers flexible scheduling with opportunities for full-time and part-time engagement. The firm values autonomy and provides a collaborative, elite-level legal environment.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of deep experience in privacy and data security, with a global lens
- Prior tenure at an AmLaw 200 firm or similar high-caliber boutique environment
- Strong working knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and global data protection regimes
- J.D. from a top-tier law school
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client service skills
- Comfortable working independently in a remote setting
Desired Qualifications
- Certifications in privacy (e.g., CIPP/US, CIPP/E)
