Job Summary
Counsel to support the General Counsel by managing the contracts team and legal processes, including oversight of client engagement letters, master services agreements, NDAs, subcontractor agreements, subpoena compliance, and related court matters; manage and protect the organization’s intellectual property and coordinate with outside counsel to optimize time and resources; review leases nationwide and assist with related matters; requires a Juris Doctor degree, 3-7 years of relevant litigation experience, Bar admission, and demonstrated ability to draft, review, negotiate and advise on a variety of contracts; strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills; willingness to work nights/weekends as needed; remote/hybrid opportunities available across multiple US locations.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Bar admission in one US state or territory (in good standing)
- 3-7 years of relevant experience as a practicing attorney (law firm or in-house)
- Litigation experience required
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various contracts (e.g., client engagement letters, master services agreements, NDAs, subcontractor agreements, KOvel agreements)
- Ability to manage paralegals and supervise outside counsel, with strong organizational skills
- Ability to provide legal advice to business stakeholders and to anticipate issues and assess risks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work occasional nights or weekends as needed
- Interest in contributing to the strategic development of a growing legal department
