Job Summary
Counsel to join Empower’s Advisory & Broker-Dealer legal team. Advise on the Investment Advisers Act, Exchange Act, FINRA rules, and regulatory compliance; support governance and stock plan services, client disclosures, and contractual negotiations; interact with FINRA/SEC/state regulators; collaborate with business groups on product development, operations, and education initiatives; bring practical legal advice and risk-based compliance strategies while working with multiple teams and seniority levels. Strong emphasis on in-house experience, ability to translate complex legal concepts for non-lawyers, and partnering across functions.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor / Law Degree from an accredited law school
- Current admission to at least one state bar and a license to practice law in the United States
- 2 or more years of relevant legal experience
