Job Summary
Counsel in corporate litigation to manage complex commercial disputes, oversee discovery and document management, draft pleadings, motions, and participate in hearings, trials, and appeals; provide legal guidance on compliance with privacy, data security, consumer rights, and employment laws; supervise legal holds and document collection; collaborate with all departments to deliver timely and responsive legal services; maintain familiarity with current laws and regulations; requires in-office presence at the Pearland, TX area; 5 years of relevant litigation experience and JD with Texas bar eligibility. Proficiency with Lexis/Westlaw and Microsoft Office is required.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school is required
- Licensed to practice law in Texas or eligible to become licensed in Texas within one year
- Significant hands-on litigation experience including courtroom presence, drafting and arguing motions, participating in hearings and trials, and conducting or assisting with voir dire
- 5 years of relevant legal experience
- Experience at a large national firm preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Applications, Lexis and Westlaw
- In-office work required in Texas (Pearland)
