Job Summary
Review, draft, and negotiate high-volume commercial contracts including confidentiality, consulting, services, supply, and sale agreements while adhering to company risk parameters and precedent. Maintain and update the enterprise contract template library, collaborate on enhancing review workflows and implementing AI solutions, and partner with cross-functional stakeholders to provide training and guidance on contract processes. This role supports and expands the Legal Department's contract management function within Invenergy's Chicago office, focusing on improving efficiency and scalability across the energy infrastructure portfolio.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree
- Active state bar license
- 3-5 years of experience within a law firm, as an in-house counsel or contract manager
- Experience drafting, negotiating, and advising on a variety of commercial agreements
- Ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders under minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills and ability to relay complex concepts to members of management and other business stakeholders
- Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future
- On-site at Invenergy's downtown Chicago, IL office

- Experience with project coordination and management of projects with multiple levels of interface between vendors, internal staff, and other stakeholders
