Counsel, Claim

Counsel with Travelers handles a caseload of predominantly low to moderate complexity in insurance defense litigation, performing duties including developing and applying litigation skills to try cases to verdict or negotiate resolutions, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery and other documents, attending court events and depositions, providing case analysis and recommendations to insured clients and claim partners, building internal and external client relationships, advising and training Claim partners and clients, and effectively utilizing technology and case management systems. The role requires 3+ years of insurance defense litigation experience, the ability to transport to meetings, strong written and oral advocacy, and a flexible, agile mindset. Regular travel is expected as part of the position.
