Counsel

Counsel at Humana provides a full range of legal services in litigation and arbitration, managing commercial litigation, arbitration, subpoenas, and bankruptcy matters while collaborating with internal clients and outside counsel on discovery and case strategy. The role requires independent judgment in litigation matters, strong legal research, analytical and writing skills, and proactive, pragmatic problem solving to mitigate risk. The successful candidate will have a JD, active state bar membership, 4+ years in commercial litigation, and the ability to balance business objectives with legal strategy. This role is remote if near a Hub and otherwise hybrid, with domestic travel as needed; reports to the Associate Vice President, Assistant General Counsel; 40 hours per week with a compensation range of $138,900–$191,000 annually.
