COTS Automation Engineer

Job Summary
Design and implement automated systems to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance for Custom-Off-The-Shelf applications. Write code and scripts for automation and customization while providing IT Support and Application Administration. Participate as a developer on an Agile Scrum team, collaborating on daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Create and maintain documentation for all deliverables. This role requires a US Citizen with a DOE Q-level security clearance, working on-site three days a week. The team supports a major national laboratory using Linux, Ansible, and Javascript within a DevSecOps environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 1 year or more of relevant experience
- The ability to acquire and maintain a DOE Q level security clearance
- Must be US Citizen
- Willing to be on-site 3 days a week
- Linux system administration experience
- Knowledge in Ansible configuration management
- Experience with Javascript
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Desired Qualifications
- Active DOE L or Q clearance
- Experience with Git source code management
- Familiar with DevSecOps and CI/CD practices
- Experience with COTS applications and their administration and deployment across various environments
- DOORS Next or Cameo/MagicDraw experience
- Custom report development experience
- Knowledge of OpenShift Deployment or Cloud technologies
- Prior knowledge of Agile project management tools, such as Jira
