Job Summary

Conduct occupational therapy for patients in home care settings to restore physical ability, strictly adhering to the treatment plan defined by the supervising OT and state-specific laws. Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment and condition changes to the nurse supervisor and physician. Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and the health care team on therapy activities within the scope of practice, functioning in any home situation regardless of client demographics. Maintain a current driver's license and vehicle insurance or access to public transportation, and hold current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in the state of practice.
