Job Summary
Conduct daily occupational therapy assistance under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help patients regain skills for everyday life. Provide ADL retraining, restorative programs, and fall prevention interventions for geriatric patients while following the plan of care and documenting in the electronic health record. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with patients and family members. This 5-day week assignment at a Skilled Nursing Facility in Davis, CA, may require floating to nearby facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college
- Active California COTA license
Desired Qualifications
- BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility or long-term care setting
- Experience treating geriatric patients and providing ADL retraining, restorative programs, and fall prevention interventions
- Experience with facility EHR systems
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and demonstrate effective communication with patients and family members
