Job Summary
Conduct patient therapy under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help individuals regain skills for everyday life in a Brooklyn, NY skilled nursing facility. Perform ADL/IADL evaluations, plan therapeutic activities, and document progress in electronic medical records while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Maintain an active New York State COTA license and BLS certification. This travel contract assignment includes 100% paid housing, weekly pay, and travel reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college
- Active New York State COTA license
Desired Qualifications
- BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Experience working in skilled nursing facility settings
- Proficiency with standard ADL/IADL evaluations, therapeutic activity planning, and documentation in electronic medical records
- Ability to follow a supervising Occupational Therapist plan of care and to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
