Job Summary
Deliver patient-centered occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist in a travel contract role at a skilled nursing facility. Assist patients in regaining daily living skills, participate in care planning and restorative programs, support functional progress, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve outcomes in post-acute and long-term care settings. Typical shift 08:00–16:30, Monday–Friday with potential weekend coverage; benefits include weekly pay, medical benefits, 401(k) matching, housing options, and travel/license reimbursement. Candidates should hold an associate degree in Occupational Therapy, an active California COTA license (or ability to obtain prior to assignment), and BLS certification; prior SNF and travel experience are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college
- Active California COTA license or ability to obtain the state license prior to the assignment start
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required
- Experience working in a skilled nursing facility is preferred
- Prior travel COTA experience (preferred)
- Experience with restorative nursing programs and assistive devices used in post-acute care (preferred)
- Familiarity with electronic medical record documentation in long-term care settings (preferred)
