Job Summary
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a travel contract at a skilled nursing facility in Petoskey, MI. Under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist, provide activities to help patients regain skills for daily living and support interdisciplinary care. Responsibilities include implementing restorative nursing programs, documenting in electronic medical records, and potentially floating to other facilities within the client network. Shifts are Days, 5x8 schedule; benefits include 100% paid housing, travel and license reimbursement, comprehensive medical benefits, 401k matching, and recruiter support.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college
- Active Michigan COTA license required to start the assignment
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required
- Experience working in skilled nursing facilities preferred
- Experience with restorative nursing programs and documentation in electronic medical records preferred
