Staff Occupational Therapist Assistant provides support to the supervising OT with resident care and treatment planning. Responsibilities include documenting promptly and accurately, ensuring infection control and safety in the treatment environment, participating in care conferences and rehabilitation meetings, educating residents and families on treatment goals and home exercise programs, facilitating ordering of durable medical equipment, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team, and contributing to quality assurance and program development. Requires an Associate Degree from an accredited COTA program and active licensure as an OTA in the state; proficiency with Net Health and Point Click Care; ability to read technical procedures and policy manuals; strong communication skills with residents, families, and healthcare staff; and physical ability to perform duties including lifting and assisting with resident care.
