Job Summary
Conduct hands-on occupational therapy under a licensed Occupational Therapist's supervision, focusing on activities of daily living such as dressing, bathing, transfers, and mobility for older adults. Deliver personalized care plans at the PACE center, in participants' homes, and community settings while educating caregivers on safety and fall prevention. Document participant progress and report changes to the interdisciplinary team, assisting with durable medical equipment needs. Requires COTA certification, one year of experience with frail or elderly individuals, a valid Kansas driver's license, and automobile liability insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program
- At least one year of experience working with frail or elderly individuals
- Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Valid Kansas driver's license
- Automobile liability insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Motor vehicle record that meets organizational standards
Desired Qualifications
- Additional experience in geriatrics, community-based care, or PACE programs
- Familiarity with adaptive equipment and assistive technologies
- Current CPR or first aid certification
