Job Summary
Assist the occupational therapist in evaluating patient function levels, preparing clinical and progress notes, and developing treatment plans. Advise families and agency personnel, observe and report condition changes, and educate patients on equipment and home therapy programs. Support patient rehabilitation according to the care plan, participate in case conferences, and confirm weekly visit scheduling to coordinate necessary visits. Maintain effective communication across the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care. This part-time role offers weekly pay, mileage reimbursement, and a tablet with Wi-Fi, with paid training provided.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Michigan
- CPR certification
- Current Michigan driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Proof of car insurance
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of one year in a home care setting preferred
