Job Summary
Assist the occupational therapist in patient evaluations, prepare clinical and progress notes, and help develop treatment plans. Advise families and agency personnel, observe and report condition changes, and educate patients on equipment and home therapy programs. Support patient rehabilitation according to the care plan, participate in case conferences, and coordinate weekly visit schedules. Maintain positive rapport with clients while ensuring quality care. Requires current Michigan COTA licensure, one year of home care experience, CPR certification, and a valid Michigan driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Michigan
- CPR certification
- Current Michigan driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Proof of car insurance
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of one year in a home care setting preferred
